~San Antonio, Texas~

A few days ago we went into beautiful San Antonio.  This is the Tower of the Americas with its 750 ft high observation tower.
 What a handsome boy!
The San Antonio River Walk is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of Downtown San Antonio.
We SO enjoyed walking along it!

We enjoyed walking around the famous" Alamo". In 1836 the Battle of the Alamo took place here.
Oh....who do we have here??   Davy Crockett and his brother??
The further down the river we went, the more beautiful it got.  The bridges were all different.....
 restaurants lined the sides................
 people were enjoying boat tours...............

There were lovely flower pots leading up to the upper area of the city.
After we had explored the river area we headed to the San Fernando Cathedral.
Here is the tomb of William B. Travis, Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie and other "Alamo" heroes.
 This is the beautiful Courthouse.
We walked all the way to the huge Mexican Outdoor/Indoor Market.
We had a great day in San Antonio!
