We are now in Texas - where everything is "bigger and better" or so "they" say! This is the "Lone Star" at the Welcome Center.
So far we are loving our time here. We visited Old Town Spring and enjoyed walking through this cute town.
We stayed for a week at the Lake Conroe Thousand Trails Park and enjoyed it very much. The activity coordinator was SO good and had lots of activities planned for the Spring Break Week. This is Becky and Shae preparing to to sell their cards and beading at the craft fair.
There were about 10 tables and the girls had lots of fun visiting with the people and selling some stuff.
They had Candy Bingo on both the Friday and Saturday afternoon which we enjoyed participating in!!The activity room had SO many games, sports equipment etc... to use. There were lots of kids in the park so our kids always seemed to have someone new to play with. They had 4 pickleball courts (which we enjoyed using and meeting new players), 2 tennis courts, 6 basketball nets, pool, hot tub, huge lake for fishing etc....
One afternoon they had dodgeball/kickball on the big field. Tons of kids/teens showed up to play and there were several adults watching them too. Lots of fun and great exercise for everyone.
They had a craft time every day in the morning which the boys enjoyed.
One afternoon they had "wacky golf" where they were divided into two age groups and had to use ping pong balls, small bouncy balls, marbles and different ways of "shooting" the ball into the hole.
They won a few prizes!!!!
We also had a potluck dinner one night.
