~Manatee Springs State Park~

After leaving Clermont, FL we headed to Manatee Springs State Park.  The sites were lovely and big and nestled among some trees.

 Once again we got to see some amazing wildlife during our visit here.   Look at this beautiful cardinal.

 We went down to the spring in the evening and again in the morning and were able to see several large manatees swimming around.   We just never tire of seeing these incredible creatures.

There was a lovely boardwalk which gave us a great view of the clear spring.

The fish were huge!!!   This is a mullet swimming by.

It was so still, quiet and beautiful.

 Look at them just "floating" around.

 There were hundreds of turkey vultures........

 turtles sunning themselves..............

and others just "staring" us down!!  Creepy!!

A lovely way to spend an evening and early morning!
