WOW - we just had the most amazing last few days! We drove from the Fort Myers area to beautiful Big Cypress National Preserve. As we got closer to our campground ( which was right in the park) we were able to see all this incredible wildlife. The road ran parallel to this "canal" which had SO many alligators and wading birds. We were not able to stop on the way, but did go to the Visitor Centre after lunch where they had a large viewing platform with incredible views of these unbelievable creatures!
Aren't their feet hilarious? They looked like gardening gloves......with fingernails :)
The next day we went on this lovely hike through hundreds of cypress trees.
The boardwalk was so great and made us feel safe............in case we saw anything "scary" out there!!!
We had lunch at H.P. Roadside Park where we had another great view of the alligators, wading birds, turtles, songbirds etc....
Last stop for the day was a viewing spot behind the Cypress Swamp Visitor Centre where we were able to see "flying fish" and a few manatees - all so cool!!
What an incredible God we serve - his creations are spectacular!!
