We even hit a bit of snow up on Soliders Summit.
This is the State Building in Salt Lake City. There are Mormen temples everywhere!
After church on Sunday we found this great store that actually had good, cheap fruit and veggies -yay!
We stayed at this park that was totally FULL when we arrived, due to spring break. We took these photos on the day that we left - only a few campers left! The park was in a small town called Tremonton, UT and had fabulous hot springs which we thoroughly enjoyed!
It had a scuba diving lake and a golf course on the property.
Plus this large pool which was at 95 degrees!!!
Also 2 great hot tubs at 102 and 104 degrees - SO great!!! We were all totally "wrinkly" when we finally got out!!! The weather was not very good while we were there - very high winds, pouring rain and cold temps, but we "endured" the pools !!! :)
Look at the steam coming off the river!!!
We stopped off at the Pendleton Woolen Mill where we had a private tour of the factory! All SO interesting!
The factory was so loud that we all had to wear these earphones so we could hear the tour guide. The mill has been in operation since 1909 .They specialize in fine wool for blankets, rug making, sewing and crafting.
They have intricate patterns on their blankets inspired by Native Americans.
We travelled along the Columbia River Gorge - just amazing scenery too.
There were several large dams along the way.
For several hours of the trip we encountered very high winds and in fact the waves on the river were actually rolling! Not much fun when pulling a trailer!
Then after very heavy rains in the Portland area we came to this...........wow - looks like we are almost home with all the beautiful green trees etc.... :)
