Thought I'd put a few photos of our time at the Thousand Trails Park in Wauchula, FL. The campground is on the Peace River and these 2 alligators love to sunbathe on the shore - very cool!!

The pool was heavenly and we spent many afternoons enjoying it.
The kids were sometimes in the pool for a few hours at a time without getting out!!
Look closely and you will see hundreds of birds in the sky. Everyday we would see these birds and wondered what they were doing. We drove across the road the following day and found a wildlife refuge park where these birds hover over. Apparently they are waiting for the food that they feed to the animals there.

Almost every evening after dinner we would play pickleball - so much fun.
Such a great game that people of all ages can play.
One lunch time, the park put on a "Tater" Potluck. They provided baked potatoes and hot dogs and we had to bring toppings for the potatoes and a dish to share. They try to get people to mingle and enjoy the company of other campers.
Playground time - always fun.....even for the older kids. I don't think you are ever too old to enjoy the swings!!!
They had a great hot tub too which we all enjoyed while staying here.
The park had these great pedal go-karts that the kids spent hours on each day. WHEW - what a workout - they were hard work!! They were behind the maintenance shed in a pile, but with a bit of "help" from Scott he got them all fixed up and running!!
We spent one more afternoon at the u-pick strawberry patch and came away with another 14 pounds of berries - SOOOO good!
