The boys creations...........
and then the girls. They all did such a great job.
Then one afternoon we met "Linda" at the pool who said she wanted to take us down to the river and teach us all how to look for fossils.
So, off we went with our sieves, colanders and shovels down to the "Peace River" (did I mention that this is the river where we saw 2 alligators a couple days previously!!!) where Linda showed us how it was done!!! She climbed right into the river - shoes and all - and dug into the river bottom, scooped up the contents and then we looked through the sieve for fossils.
We found tons of sharks teeth, sand dollars, turtle toe-nails (I know....weird!!) and stingray jaws. All rather interesting!
This is sweet Linda with the kids.
This is Lorraine (also know as sweet "Grandma" to all the people in the park) who just loved our kids to bits while we were here at the park. She would visit them every day in the lodge for a few minutes while they were doing school and then if she saw any of them walking around the park she'd run over, have a long chat and give them all hugs - SO sweet!
This is what happens to us while we are on the road - we constantly meet these wonderful people who give us tips and good information about different areas and parks and also pour love on our kids. The Lord is good to us!
